Terms & Conditions

Last updated: May 2026

These terms cover the use of jj-carson.com. They are short, plain, and written by the same person who runs the site. If anything is unclear, please write in and ask.

1. Welcome

By using this site you agree to the terms set out below. If you do not agree, please do not use the site. (You are also welcome to write in and tell us why — we read everything.)

2. The content

All writing on this site — novels, short stories, blog posts, photographs taken by the author — is the copyright of J.J. Carson unless otherwise stated. You may share short quotations for the purposes of review, criticism, or news reporting, with attribution. Wholesale republication, AI training scraping, or any commercial reuse is not permitted without written permission.

3. Linking

Linking to any page on this site is welcome and does not require permission, provided the link does not falsely suggest endorsement, affiliation, or sponsorship.

4. Your contributions

Comments, messages, and any other content you submit through this site remain yours. By submitting them, you grant the site a non-exclusive licence to display them in the context where they were posted (for example, in the comment thread of the post they belong to). You can revoke this licence by asking us to remove the content.

5. Newsletter

Subscription to the newsletter is voluntary and free. You may unsubscribe at any time with the link at the foot of every email. We do not share, sell, or rent the subscriber list under any circumstances.

6. Purchases

Books are purchased through external retailers (Amazon, Bookshop.org, Waterstones, Audible, and others). The terms of those retailers apply to any transaction — not these. This site does not process payments directly.

7. Disclaimer

The site is provided as-is. While we make every effort to keep it accurate and online, no warranty is given that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or up-to-date. Use of the site is at your own discretion. We are not liable for any indirect, consequential, or incidental loss arising from your use of the site.

8. Jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute that cannot be resolved by writing in and talking to us — which, honestly, is almost everything — will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.

Questions? Write to letters@jj-carson.com. As ever, a real reply from a real person.
